What Are the Benefits of a Thumb Spica Splint?

Splinting facilitates the immobilisation and stabilisation of the joint in question, helping to protect from further injury and promote healing. One advantage of using a thumb spica splint instead of a cast or brace is that spica splints accommodate swelling thanks to their elasticity. Additionally, elasticated splints also provide compression that helps increase circulation which helps reduce swelling and assists healing.

What Joints Does this Thumb Brace Provide Support For?

The metacarpal (MCP) and the carpometacarpal (CMC) are the first and second joint in your thumb. Thanks to it's extensive coverage and intelligent design, this thumb brace provides excellent support to both.

What Makes Air X Fabric Better Than Other Materials?

The unique Air X fabric has the ability to transport moisture efficiently away from the body thanks to the layered fibre structures, which help promote moisture wicking. This results in a dry, comfortable feeling on the surface of the skin, helping your hand to feel fresh throughout the day.

Air X fabric is also a soft, lightweight material that perfectly follows the contours of the body. This means the Air X adapts and shapes itself to the individual wearing it providing exceptional comfort, even for extended periods of time.

bought for skiing
09 December 2024  |

A bit premature for a review as I bought them for skiing and have not used them in action as it were, but the pre-sales email advice was extremely useful, the product fits and appears to be well made and I'd expect it to last, so I think a 5* review is appropriate anyway.

Thumb wrist support well worth the money
01 August 2024  |

Great support for this wrist thumb support I have lost the power in holding things in my hand due to an injury I had to my thumb, I need my hand to do my job properly and was looking for something like what I was given when I first ever had the injury, this product is brilliant so worth the money .my only criticism woukd be as I have small wrists I find I need it tighter so there could be more velcro to help this small issue , but brilliant .
