Sizing of the Actimove Gauntlet Wrist and Thumb Brace
The Actimove Gauntlet Wrist Brace is available in four sizes based on wrist circumference. To determine which size is right for you, measure the circumference around your wrist as shown in the diagram below, and match your measurement to the correct size in the sizing table below the diagram.

Should I Use the Actimove Gauntlet Wrist/Thumb Brace Following a Fracture?
While this wrist support may be suitable for use in the latter stages of recovery from a fractured wrist, it should not be used immediately after a fracture. To support your wrist after a fracture, we recommend a rigid support such as the Ossur Form Fit Wrist Brace.
How Do I Apply the Gauntlet Wrist Stabiliser?
The Actimove Gauntlet Wrist and Thumb Support can be used for either the left or right wrist, depending on where the anatomical stay is placed. To adjust the brace to fit your desired hand:
- Open the brace on a flat surface in front of you.
- Position the brace so the hook and loop for the thumb is pointing to the right-hand side, while the wrist hook and loops are pointing to the left.
- There will be two openings towards the lower end of the brace, a lower opening and an upper opening. Insert the stay in the lower opening for the left hand, or the upper opening for the right hand.
How Do I Change the Brace from Left Wrist to Right Wrist?
To change the Actimove Gauntlet Wrist Brace from a left-sided to a right-sided brace, simply follow these instructions, and follow along in the diagram below.
- Remove the stay from the lower opening
- Turn the stay 180° so that the top end curves downwards, as shown below
- Insert the stay into the upper opening, with the curved end first
- Then, apply the brace as normal to the right hand!
How Do I Change the Brace from Right Wrist to Left Wrist?
To change the Actimove Gauntlet Wrist Brace from a right-sided to a left-sided brace, simply follow these instructions, and follow along in the diagram below.
- Remove the stay from the upper opening
- Turn the stay 180° so that the top end curves upwards, as shown below
- Insert the stay into the lower opening, with the curved end first
- Then, apply the brace as normal to the left hand!
How Do I Wash the Gauntlet Wrist Support?
This wrist brace can be hand-washed with warm water up to 30°C. Then, it should be air-dried.
